Requirements, Driver must:

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Have a valid California driver’s license
• Clean driving record per DMV no DUIs
• Pass a drug test (includes marijuana) with continued possible random drug screens throughout employment
• Pass a DOT physical and renew every two years
• Complete a driver training program including classroom and on the road tasks totaling approximately 40 hours prior to solo driving and delivering
• Prefer drivers with prior delivery driver experience in the last three years
• Be able to safely lift/carry up to 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 150 lbs. with hand truck
• Pass FedEx Ground criminal background check
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Be on time and ready to work each work day
• Be able to climb stairs and get in and out of truck at least 200 times per day
• Be able to work in all types of weather
• Have a strong work ethic and get it done attitude

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Must)
• California Driver’s License (Preferred)

What You'll Be Doing

As a FedEx Delivery Driver, you'll play a key role in ensuring that packages are delivered safely and on time. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Safely operating a delivery vehicle to transport packages to customers.

- Planning and following the most efficient delivery routes.

- Providing excellent customer service during each delivery.

- Handling packages with care and ensuring timely deliveries.

- Maintaining the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle.

Daily Duties include but not limited to:

• Your vehicle must be always operated safely
• Delivery and pick up of packages to businesses and residences. Routes vary in number of pick-ups and deliveries, but expectations are a driver will routinely perform 130 and up to 200 stops a day
• Perform daily inspection of vehicle including checking fluid levels
• Loading vehicle for deliveries and organizing daily loads
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain appropriate communication with manager
• Accurately operate scanner/effectively track delivery process
• Accurate disposition of package delivery and pickups is a must and critical to our integrity.
• Consistently deliver entire route in a timely manner
• Adhere to uniform and FedEx daily delivery standards
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, we’re seeking someone with:

- 1 year of driving experience (desired).

- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- A positive attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service.

- The ability to lift and carry packages as needed.
