The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. The Connectivity team within the Enterprise Mobile Computing organization delivers seamless voice and data network connectivity and other key technology solutions to enterprise customers to enable mission critical business applications. US Summer Internship Benefits: Summer Fridays, As Applicable With Your Team 30+ Social and Professional Events in 12 Weeks Global Immersion With Your Teams and Interns Intern Allowance (when applicable) Responsibilities: Wireless Insight and Gen AI Integration: Self Learn the Wireless environment based on Wireless Insight events and data and apply roaming algorithm accordingly to optimize the performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, development and testing of solutions to optimize Wi-Fi roaming based on Wireless Insights events and device data utilizing generative AI applications.

  • Research on existing Wi-Fi roaming techniques
  • Familiarize with the Zebra Wireless Insights and Wireless Analyzer solutions
  • Develop a Gen-AI model aimed at enhancing Wi-Fi roaming efficiency
  • Assist with data collection and processing to train the AI model and validate for accuracy
  • Integrate the research results with the current Zebra solution
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on project progress
  • Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
  • Increase technology knowledge and skills
  • Develop team-based work proficiencies
  • Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities
THIS IS A HYBRID INTERNSHIP LOCATED IN HOLTSVILLE, NY. THE EXPECTATION IS AT LEAST 3 DAYS OF IN-OFFICE ATTENDANCE. Qualifications: Required Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Must have an anticipated graduation date between 2026-2027
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications: • Programming languages:
  • C and C++
  • Java
  • Python
  • Software engineering principles
  • Experience with Android operating system and development tools
  • Experience with Wi-Fi technology
  • Experience with machine learning and AI tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
