Job Description

Role Summary

The Sr. Director, Project Manager, provides strategic vision, drives execution, and ensures the successful delivery of projects that align with the company's overall business objectives. This role requires a proven leader with a strong background in project management, team leadership, and stakeholder management.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Project Execution: Ensure the successful execution of projects from initiation to closure. This includes developing detailed project plans, timelines, resource management, budgets, and monitoring progress against key milestones.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the entire project portfolio, ensuring integration and alignment with corporate goals and objectives. Identify issues and propose solutions for resource, project scope, timing, or budgets as required.
  • Process Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing project data and performance metrics. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and collaboration across teams.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor project performance and address issues as they arise to keep projects on track.
  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the strategic planning and execution of complex project portfolios. Drive the development and implementation of project management methodologies across the organization. Implement metrics and visual management systems to effectively communicate project status across the organization. Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing project management team to support multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with Research & Development, Regulatory, Clinical, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Business Development teams to align project delivery with business objectives.

Skills And Experience

  • Change Management: Ability to manage change effectively and minimize disruption to project progress. Experience leading organizations through cultural and organizational changes while motivating team members to achieve goals.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, from team members to C-suite executives.
  • Budget management: Experience with budget and financial oversight for large projects.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and project management tools. Visio is a plus.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align project goals with business objectives. Ability to adapt, identify novel solutions, and implement efficient solutions.
  • 10+ years of project management experience with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree or PMP certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, cross-functional projects and managing complex project portfolios.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, including executive and Board-level reporting
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
