The Texas Department of Criminal Justice requires the services of a Project manager for the CAPPS Financials and Human Resources implementation project. This position will be dedicated to this project.
The core duties include project oversight, planning, project tracking, scope management, change control management, risk management, and quality assurance of the project team.
Adept at the development of schedule, cost, and risk management strategies.
Direct the activities of resources in line with the business objectives of the project.
Ensure quality and timely delivery of critical path products and services.
Establish and maintain quality metrics and guidelines.
Must demonstrate and excel in communicating and working with a diverse team, using collaboration tools competently in a remote work environment. Must be able to work off-hours at different phases of the project.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio (minimum of four tools).

This position may be filled as a remote or hybrid position but may occasionally require the contractor to work on-site. The office is 815 11th St, Huntsville, TX 77340. In-person meetings may be required in Huntsville, TX, and advance notice will be given. Travel expenses are not covered or reimbursed by the Agency.
This position may be required to work non-standard hours depending on project needs.
All work must be performed with TDCJ hardware only. A laptop and any required peripherals will be provided.
Must be able to pass a CJIS background check.
