Position Overview

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with recipe components, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong attention to detail, a passion for food, and the ability to support the kitchen team in delivering a consistent guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Wash, chop, measure, and prepare ingredients for recipes and service.
• Follow prep lists and recipes provided by the kitchen leadership team.
• Assist line cooks and chefs by ensuring ingredients are ready during peak service times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, coolers, and storage areas.
• Properly label, date, and store food items to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Follow food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Assist with basic cooking, portioning, and other tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or prep experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of safe food-handling practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Food handler’s certification (or ability to obtain).
