Paitient Care Tech - PCT - Cardiovascular ICU

Full time - 36 hours - Night Shift

The Johns Hopkins Hospital Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVSICU) is a 18 bed unit that provides care for patients who are recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, the placement of ventricular assist devices, and other complex procedures. We receive patients directly from the operating room and manage their needs through their intensive care phase. It is a very fast paced unit driven through team work and collaboration within a highly competent multidisciplinary team to provide the best care possible to this specialized patient population. Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
• One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered.
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
