Our Fire Systems Test Specialists bolster our innovative efforts in developing the next generation of Fire Safety Systems. This role is based in Parsippany, NJ, and is a cornerstone in our mission to protect lives through technology. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with intelligent electronic technology while ensuring the reliability and safety of life-critical systems.
**As a Fire Systems Test Specialist at Siemens, you will:**
+ Play a crucial role in ensuring that our next-generation fire safety systems
+ Meet our customer's needs and provide superior performance.
+ Work with state-of-the-art testing environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and improve our innovative fire protection solutions.
+ Set up and manage sophisticated test environments for networked fire systems and computer assemblies
+ Create, document, and execute comprehensive test strategies and cases for specific products
+ Write detailed defect reports and verifying solutions after implementation
+ Implement real-world scenarios for system testing to ensure product reliability
+ Execute tests through manual and automated operations and building clear test reports
+ Collaborate with software developers and engineers to resolve technical challenges
+ Maintain and calibrating test/validation equipment
+ Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies
+ Support senior team members in complex testing scenarios
**You will make an impact with these qualifications:**
Basic Qualifications:
+ Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Systems, or Instrumentation Technology
+ 2+ years of experience in manual testing or engineering of industrial products
+ On-the-job or educational experience with:
+ Qualification of networked electronic products with complex, configurable embedded software
+ Experience in improving testing processes and methodologies
+ Test automation tools and frameworks
+ Specialist certifications such as NICET, ASQ, ACI, or ISTQB
+ Must be able to demonstrate:
+ Analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Attention to detail and documentation abilities
+ Understanding of fire systems
+ Communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
+ Proactive approach to process improvement and problem-solving
+ Adaptability to new technologies and testing tools
+ Passion for quality and safety in product development
+ Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
